Sackets Harbor, Team A, came in second and won three other categories: Aquatics, Soils & Land Use, as well as the written portion of the current issue, Western Rangeland Management. Sackets Harbor, Team B, won the Wildlife portion of the competition. Alexandria’s Team A won the Forestry portion of the competition.
By 5 points, Belleville-Henderson won the overall competition, as well as the video portion of the current issue, Western Rangeland Management. Belleville-Henderson will represent Jefferson County at the NYS Envirothon competition at Hobart and William Smith on May 23 and 24.
Immaculate Heart won the T-shirt design contest held earlier this year; their winning design was featured on the Jefferson County Envirothon T-shirt for 2018.
