The 24 th Annual Envirothon will be held April 27, 2017.  High school teams compete in the following interactive exams: Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soils & Land Use, Wildlife, and 2017’s environmental issue: agricultural soil and water conservation stewardship.

The Envirothon promotes environmental awareness, and Jefferson County’s winning team moves on to compete in the New York State Envirothon.

Trophies and awards are presented to the winning teams at the local level, while scholarships are presented at the state level!

CONTEST GUIDELINES:  All entries must be original work that does not violate copyright, trademark, or any other right of a third party. (EXCEPT: Jefferson County Soil and Water logo and NYS Envirothon logo) By entering, it is understood that the winning  design will become the exclusive property of Jefferson County Soil & Water; submitting artist(s) relinquish all rights to design.  Schools may submit up to three (3) designs.

Entries should be submitted as a medium resolution JPEG or hard copy no larger than 8.5 x 11”.  Black and white design, NOT in pencil.  Design must be easy to reproduce by silkscreen.

HOW TO WIN: Submitted designs will be displayed on Facebook. The  design with the largest number of “likes” as of 3/3/17 at 7 am will be the official T-shirt of the 2017 competition.
