The 25th Annual Jefferson County Envirothon was held last Thursday, April 27. Congratulations to Alexandria Central for taking 1st place! (L-R: Jordan Felicia, Alex Swanson, Brandon Davis, Victor Wallace, and Zach Patterson) This team won with the highest scores in three other categories: video portion of the current issue (Agricultural Soil and Water Conservation Stewardship), Forestry, and Aquatics & Ecology. Alexandria will represent Jefferson County at the NYS competition to be held May 24 & 25 at Hobart & William Smith in Geneva, NY. 2nd place went to Belleville-Henderson. Soils & Land Use went to South Jefferson, and the current issue, Agricultural Soil and Water Conservation Stewardship tested portion went to Sackets!
